The Legal Team provides legal advice to the University’s administration on issues relating to students, faculty, staff and visitors to campus.  This includes advice in areas such as administrative law, labour and employment law, human rights law, and litigation.  

What We Do

In this work we provide legal advice to decision makers at the University regarding: 

• academic integrity violations, academic appeals, and student discipline matters
• legal processes related to non-academic student misconduct
• Legal issues arising in regard to employment at the University
• Human rights matters and issues of harassment and discrimination, including matters arising before the Human Rights Tribunal
• Advising on compliance with legislative frameworks and regulatory regimes.
